Lagos –  The Chairman of Divine Express Cargo, Mr Godspower Isiguzo, on Friday urged Nigerian businessmen to begin to look at the possibilities of harnessing the huge business opportunities in Indonesia.

Isiguzo, who gave the advice in Lagos at a Business Meeting of Indonesian Solo Exhibition, said that there was a lot for Nigerian
businessmen to benefit from doing business with Indonesian companies.

“While advocating for Nigeria to depend less on foreign goods, I also know that no nation can be self-sufficient in everything, and must
still import from other countries.

“From my dealings with Indonesia, I believe that there are many opportunities for other Nigerian businessmen and women by doing
businesses with Indonesian companies.

“Having lived and done business with Indonesians in the last two decades, I can tell other Nigerians of the existing business
opportunities for them in Indonesia,’’ he said.

Isiguzo noted that many Nigerians had yet to know of the various business and investment opportunities that abound in Indonesia for
them.

He said that it was imperative for Nigerians to know that most of goods like garments, soap, medicine and others being consumed in
Europe and Nigeria were from Indonesia.

The Nigerian-businessman based in Indonesia listed possible areas of business with Indonesia to include agriculture, mining, power
generation and distribution, manufacturing and ship building.

The Director of Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre in Lagos, Mr Nino Setiawan, said that the exhibition was a reminder of the existing
bilateral ties between the two countries.

Nino said that there was currently a growing “more and more’’ contact between Indonesian and their Nigerian business partners.

He said that his Centre would with the assistance of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and Industry continue to contribute to the
development of Nigeria’s non-oil and gas sector. (NAN)
